Subtle chocolate, vanilla and roast entwine for a rather subdued aroma. Although thin for the style, this stout still washes back with enjoyable malt tones: Toasted bread and chicory back a tasty blend of bittersweet chocolate and roasted malts; the sip just lacks intensity. A quiet dryness finishes off the muted swallow.
