DRAFT REVIEW: Storm King
RATING
94

Victory has found a way to make an imperial stout that is intense and powerful, but not overwhelming. It pours black with dark brown highlights beneath a frothy, brown head. It is fragrant with dried grain, mild alcohol, and faint blackberry fruit scents. Storm King’s flavor sings on the palate with velvety edges; there is no harshness in the deep, roasted malts. The burnt sugar and coffee notes are firm and focused, lasting deep into the aftertaste. In the end, this full-bodied brew finishes clean and very dry.
