DRAFT REVIEW: St. Louis Premium Peche
RATING
97

Comparisons to horse blankets and barnyards might not be common aroma descriptors for most beers, but these words are certainly appropriate for this quality lambic. And while they might not sound appealing, to a lambic lover, they are the definition of perfection. This beer even has a goaty smell, which distinguishes this brew from other fruity beers. Of course, like any good fruit lambic, the fresh aroma of peaches comes through in the end. The orange color is attractive and the peach flavor in the mouth of this beer is very fresh. Unfortunately, the unique, funky aspects don't stick around in the flavor and the sweetness dominates. It finishes slightly cloying but very soft; altogether, this beer is a classic example of a lambic.
