DRAFT REVIEW: St. Louis Kriek Lambic
RATING
82

This unfiltered, dark ruby beer wears a bright white head and fills the air with a sugary aroma: Powerful cherry candy scents hover with just a dash of funky Belgian yeast. Tart cherry notes scrape over the tongue while sugar sweetness sinks in. While the two sensations work side by side, this beer’s bold cherry flavors leave room for little else. Light earthy notes emerge in the back, but the traditional lambic flavors are hidden beneath a growing sweetness that eventually sticks to the tongue. While this beer may not sate lambic lovers looking for tartness, its cherry notes and sweetness make a fine fit for sweet tooths.
