Hop Manna doesn’t pack a typical IPA hop punch, but its malt presence is sublime. Rich caramel and toasted malt scents take center stage in the nose; inhale a bit deeper, and delicate floral scents emerge. Toast, biscuit and caramel fuse for a rich swallow, while bridled floral and grassy hops tiptoe around the brawny malts. Hop bitterness pushes the beer toward a mildly sweet caramel finish. This beer’s almost there; it just needs more hop flavor.
