DRAFT REVIEW: He'Brew Messiah Bold
RATING
86

Messiah Bold pours a warm mahogany color with brilliant clarity and creamy brown head that floats beautifully atop the beer. The healthy proportion of malted barley is evident from the moment the bottle pops; big whiffs of toasted malt emerge immediately. The flavor profile is complex; an initial toffee sweetness balances a mild grain astringency and toasted barley notes. Hops play a very small role, lending only a touch of spicy bitterness on the sides of the tongue. The beer finishes dry with subtle graininess that stretches through the aftertaste.
