American Pale Ale
ABV: 5.0%
IBU: 41
RATING
94
An American Flag label is appropriate, as this beer showcases home-grown hops' distinctive aroma and taste. It pours clear reddish-orange with a fluffy and sticky off-white head. Grassy, citrusy hops declare themselves loudly in the aroma, and are laced with a touch of dried flowers and sweet caramel malt. The flavor profile is a fireworks display of American flavors: It kicks off with a firm malt backbone of caramel and bready malts before hops burst through with grapefruity and floral tones, soft fresh-cut grass tastes, and stiff bitterness. Medium-bodied with elevated carbonation, American Pale finishes fruity and dry with a peppery hop flavor that stretches through the aftertaste.
