A fluffy white head caps this dark ruby-hued beer. Enticing sugary cherries and plums lead the way to the nose, with raw dough, banana and alcohol spice following close behind. Toasted malt notes land on the palate first; they pick up caramel sweetness in the middle of the swallow. Plum notes poke out from the malt foundation and add a pleasing sweetness to the beer’s dark raisins. A bit of clove spice counters the beer’s sweetness before an impressive dry wave cleans the mouth. |
