DRAFT REVIEW: Hops Infusion
RATING
86

Hops Infusion’s deep gold appearance mesmerizes, as does the foamy tan head that tops it. A compelling aroma laced with assertive floral hop character and soft caramelized barley notes allures the nose; the flavor, however, falls apart somewhat. It begins with the aroma’s same mild caramel character, but lacks the sturdy malt backbone needed to support the aggressive bittering hops found later in the taste. Without the malt, the beer tastes a bit like hop tea, leaving a biting bitterness in the aftertaste. Hops Infusion still wows with caramel notes, citrusy hop flavors, and a dry finish. The beer has a thin body, mild carbonation, and very low alcohol presence.
