DRAFT REVIEW: Hop Ottin' IPA
RATING
87

This burnt orange beer’s fleeting white head lets loose a dank hop aroma: Orange and soft, toasted bread scents accent a pungent, earthy bouquet. While toasted malts reach across the tongue, grassy hop notes flow above and meet emerging pine notes in the middle of the swallow. This even-keeled malt-hop pairing creates an earthy, rustic sensation before aggressive bitterness ensues. With an extremely dry finish that leaves the taste buds tingling, Hop Ottin’—which means “hard-working hops” in the local Boontling language—certainly lives up to its name.
