DRAFT REVIEW: Samaranth
RATING
94

Samaranth pours a deep reddish-brown hue with a creamy, off-white head. The vinous bouquet is a thick amalgamation of stone fruits and syrupy toffee scents, with a bourbonlike liquor note warming the nose. It’s complex, beginning with a tongue-coating, molasseslike sweetness. Prickly, peppery Belgian yeast flecks the swallow along with a spicy herb, like cardamom, that adds another thread of color on the tongue. Smooth, warm alcohol flows through the experience and lasts into the finish where it lingers warmly.
