DRAFT REVIEW: India Pelican Ale
RATING
93

This hazy, orange brew is the hop-driven handful you might expect from a West Coast IPA. Its fresh aroma lingers in the nose, a big mix of complex candied orange and floral hop notes with grassy and earthy swaths. The malt doesn’t lose its place, though; a sweet caramel note hums noticeably through the bouquet. That same caramelized barley note is the base for a symphonic hop display: Bold, intense citrus hops come on strong, culminating in a tingly bitter finish and a grassy aftertaste. The lively, bubbly brew fills the mouth before concluding with a dry finish.
