DRAFT REVIEW: Hop Sun
RATING
90

This beer meets all the expectations enthusiasts have with regard to American wheats, from its brilliant gold hue and white, frothy head to the clean finish. Hop Sun begins with an assertive lemongrass aroma, while the wheat character is low, peeking through in the tart tail-end of the scent. The flavor begins bready, showing off pale malt characteristics, but then progresses into a citrusy experience, with the hops’ lemon flavors shining through. Hop Sun is thin-bodied and highly carbonated with very little alcohol presence, rendering a smooth drinking experience. The slight wheat tartness does last into the aftertaste, supporting the beer’s crisp,
bitter finish.
