DRAFT REVIEW: Levity Amber Ale
RATING
93

Levity is a shade or two lighter than amber, closer to standard gold, and sports a frothy, pasty head. Sweet lemongrass and dry husky malts gently titillate the nose in the brew’s mild aroma. The flavors are hop-driven, with a brief punch of biscuity malt up front followed by a late explosion of citrus, pine, and floral flavors. Hops also lend a bite to the beer’s profile, grabbing on to the sides of the tongue and clinging well into the aftertaste. Levity is a superb beer with a body and color that falls on the light side of the amber ale spectrum, showing delicate character around the edges of an otherwise flavorful brew.
