Belgian Dubbel
ABV: 7.5%

RATING
88
Corsendonk is one of the more interesting Belgian dubbels available in America. It pours a reddish brown color with just a touch of cloudiness. While you'll note toasted aromas in the nose, the barley and yeast used to brew this beer produce nut and raisin notes that dominate the beer's flavor (though a touch of sourness is also perceptible). This ale's mouthfeel is on the light end of moderate, and the beer actually feels slightly watery in the beginning. Try Abbey Brown with lighter fare, and the beer's strong malt flavors will fully emerge.
