DRAFT REVIEW: Spotted Cow
RATING
95

The state of Wisconsin might have the most illustrious brewing history in the United States, and these days New Glarus is carrying the fantastic brewing tradition forward. Since you can only find New Glarus' delectable brews in Wisconsin, plently of Midwesterners are making the trip to the Dairy State for the brewery's fine ales. This particular beer is moderately low in alcohol strength, so you might think it would be even simpler than most versions of this style. Quite the contrary: This is one of the most complex and interesting cream ales on the market. There are some light fruit flavors and mellow hops in the aroma. With a less prevalent hop presence in the flavor, it's a good thing the malt steps up. The body is complex and refreshing and makes this beer worth a drive from anywhere.
