This offering comes from one of the largest independent breweries in Belgium. Any brewery that resists consolidation and is happy to brew beer primarily for taste (rather than profit) is okay by us. This beer opens with a fruity nose and is kicked up a notch by a pleasant spiciness from the hops. Tripels are often lighter in color than most of their Belgian counterparts, and this brew holds true to the style with a relatively clear golden color. The mouthfeel is crisp with a moderate to low body, perfect for presenting the clean malt profile and slight hints of citrus from the yeast.
