DRAFT REVIEW: Genesis Ale
RATING
87

Though the collection of "He'Brews" has grown, this flagship beer remains one of the most prized. Dark for a pale ale, Genesis is amber-hued with a foamy, off-white head that doesn't shrink too fast. Toasted malts and quiet caramel notes complement the aroma's floral and citrus scents. Starting with muted nutty sweetness, the fully carbonated beer breaks into large, spicy grapefruity hop flavors, plus a touch of alcohol. A slightly off-kilter bitterness also appears. That bitterness is tamed in the aftertaste, though, making for a pleasently dry finish.
