DRAFT REVIEW: Hapa Brown Ale
RATING
85

Roasted malts and chocolate entwine with quiet, earthy hops for a delicate aroma. The beer’s light-bodied, but the malt flavors read robust: Smooth chocolate runs down the tongue’s center, roasted malts announce themselves on the sides, and nutty malt notes emerge in the middle; all rise to meet an earthy hop swell in the back. This beer would benefit from stronger hop muscle, but its enduring chocolate and dry finish are deeply satisfying.
