DRAFT REVIEW: Yellowtail Pale Ale
RATING
83

Though sweeter and heavier than traditional versions, the SoCal beer is an excellent rendition of a kolsch. It pours very light orange-gold with a lacy, white head. A sweet, melony aroma threaded with gentle pepper spice greets the nose. Fruity and sugary sweetness wash through the mouth, while delicate grassy and floral hops nibble the sides of the tongue. Yellowtail finishes a tad sweet for the style, and those fruity and peppery flavors linger through the aftertaste. With a drier finish this beer would achieve an even greater quality of refreshment, but ultimately, this beer is an easy choice for everyday satisfaction.
