DRAFT REVIEW: Fisherman's Ale
RATING
90

A sweet grain aroma with delicate pear notes floats up from an ephemeral white head above this dark, straw colored brew. This light, soft-textured beer dances across the tongue with tingly carbonation as it unveils some upfront fruity, white-wine characteristics before the bready malt quality sets in with an appropriate hop balance. In the back, as the beer comes to a dry conclusion, a grainy flavor lingers alongside a slight mineral taste. As sweet as it smells, this beer doesn’t overdo it for the style; instead, it unrolls a satisfying dryness that sets up the palate for the next sip.
