Gouden Carolus Cuvee Van De Keizer Blauw
|
Pouring dark brown with flickering ruby highlights, Keizer shines in the glass below a soft, pillowy head. Plum and peppery alcohol scents run deep through the classic bread crust aroma; as the beer breathes, clover honey emerges, adding sweet and herbal notes. On the tongue, dark fruit and caramelized sugar syrup imbue a bed of toasted bread crust while hints of clove weave through the sweetness. As the flavors swell, banana and honey emerge, and just before the sip becomes cloying, Keizer peaks with alcohol spice. Clove and honey cling to a dry finish. |
