RATING
96
We expect quality from one of Belgium’s oldest breweries, and this beer doesn’t disappoint, with rich fragrances of candied lemon peel, pepper and hints of flowers. It pours hazy gold in color and has a firm, white head that doesn’t go away too quickly. Its flavor is equally impressive, with viscous sweet lemon sugar up front and a healthy hop dosage as the lemon gives way to a bit of spice. The malt quality is very subtle, but found in bready form toward the middle of the tongue. With its medium body, effervescent carbonation and subdued alcohol presence, this beer is a bit fuller all around than some tripels, but still easy to enjoy.
