A peppery, lemon-doused dough aroma greets the nose as it ascends through this cloudy orange beer’s bubbly, sparkly white head. Sweet Juicy Fruit gum flavors (courtesy of Belgian yeast) blend with soft, doughy bread and befriend vibrant lemon and earthy pepper on the center of the tongue. As the flavors swell in the back, a flash of coriander zings before fizzy carbonation careens down the tongue. Less dry than other varieties, Affligem’s Tripel is a treat to enjoy. |
