Place your nose over this murky copper brew’s light tan head and breathe in toffee, grassy hops and faint plum. Rich, toffee-dipped malts splash onto the tongue first before an overpoweringly bitter, prickly hop wave digs into the tongue, burying the grain flavor. Grassy hops mix with spicy alcohol that sticks to the back of the throat as rough bitterness grips the tongue through the finish. This beer hits all the marks, but toned-down hop bitterness would allow its flavors to further unfold. |
