DRAFT REVIEW: Crooked Tree IPA
RATING
96

Dark Horse’s beers are memorable, flavorful, and bold, and this hazy, orange-gold offering follows suit. The aroma dignifies this beer with a sweet, dank hop fragrance that sticks to the nostrils. Below a frothy head, old, sugary, and bready malt flavors provide a sturdy base for the wonderful run of citrusy, woody, and floral hop flavors. The hop bite is substantial, in line with the style, but rounds off well and doesn’t offend the palate. With its creamy, soft body, and low alcohol, this beer is thick, but very drinkable.
