DRAFT REVIEW: Gordon Ale
RATING
92

A thick, creamy head caps off this rich copper brew, unleashing an orange-grapefruit aroma that bursts into the nose. Supported by sturdy caramel sweetness, freshly peeled citrus floats to the nose, giving this bouquet a distinctly West Coast scent. In the mouth a layer of sweet caramel plods the tongue before citrus hop flavors and bitterness surges from the sides of the tongue to the back of the throat. Quite dry in its finish, a remnant resinous hop essence lingers while alcohol warmth sinks into the chest. Gordon’s a fun match for those who prefer getting smacked around by American hops.
