DRAFT REVIEW: Nora
RATING
91

This Italian-born brew pours a luscious, cloudy honey color, with a foamy ivory head that dissipates slowly. Its aroma is compelling, at first honey sweet and floral like myrrh (one of the spice additions), as juicy fruit thickens and peppery notes liven the nose. On the tongue, this brew’s certainly spicy; pepper and coriander bite the tongue. However, ginger takes center stage, as its flavors emerge as both bitter spice and tartness that pull through the finish. Playfully teetering between juicy and sugary-sweet, the swallow never sinks deep, but dances on the tongue before carbonation washes the tongue clean. It finishes dry, with tartness and some flowery notes lingering into the finish. Don’t drink this beer too cold, or you’ll miss some of the creative flavors.
