DRAFT REVIEW: Eastside Dark Lager
RATING
93

Eastside Dark is a shining example of the style, from its clear, nutty red-brown color to its foamy, tan head that unleashes sweet caramel, soft nutty malts, and a quick whiff of alcohol. Big, bready malt sweetness coats the tongue, and heavy, viscous caramel washes burst with light, nutty flavors. A hop flash balances the malts as grassy notes and a touch of bitterness zoom across the tongue. Though the flavors are rich, a light body and minimal alcohol allow this beer to pass effortlessly across the palate. Mild, nutty sweetness echoes softly in the finish before evaporating away.
