DRAFT REVIEW: Porter
RATING
90

This brew pours hazy, dark brown with reddish highlights and a latte-color head. The bouquet is soft, marked by gentle wafts of toasted nuts and cocoa powder. While the flavor is light overall, the beer's dark roasted malts do make a statement, and caramel sweetness comes in late, lasting into the aftertaste. The hops aren't entirely left behind; their bitterness and floral flavors come on strong at the end of the flavor and last well into the aftertaste. The brew's finish typifies the style: a lingering grain astingency and roasted malt flavors, very little alcohol warmth and soft carbonation.
