DRAFT REVIEW: London Porter
RATING
89

While the recipe for this enjoyable porter is based on a recipe from 1750, the brewery that brews it is actually much younger. This roasted yet fruity brew is from Meantime Brewing, which was founded in 2000. It has mild aromas of cherries and some biscuitlike notes. The persistent tan head is good for the style and complements the medium brown color well. The taste is toasted but still mild and smooth. It finishes a bit thin (there needs to be a bit more body at the end), but on the whole it is a well-made beer. Like many corked beers, it can and should be aged.
