DRAFT REVIEW: The Kaiser Imperial Oktoberfest (2005)
RATING
93

Don't mess with Kaiser Imperial -- it is likely the strongest Oktoberfest in the country. Kaiser pours slightly cloudy with an orange hue. From there, this beer is nothing but bold. The aroma of this seasonal brew (Sept.-Dec.) contains plenty of fruit notes and alcohol to kick it off. A strong hop flavor and bitterness nicely back up the copious amounts of malt. You'll notice that hte beer starts slightly sweet and finishes exceptionally clean. While it's rich and thick for the style, with an ABV of 8.9%, the flavor and body are necessarily big and bold to keep up with alcohol warmth.
