DRAFT REVIEW: Young's Oatmeal Stout
RATING
90

The evolution of Young's long brewing history is evident in this brew. To start, the beer pours nicely, with a thick, creamy head accentuated by deep black and ruby hues. The brew's complex malt aromas are prevalent and include mocha and cereal notes. The flavor ripens into rich maltiness accentuated by a mild fruit finish. It might be more enjoyable if it were a bit more full. But, because Young's is brewed with flaked oats, the beer is surprisingly smooth; so much so, that you'll be tempted to enjoy more than one.
