Supported by a sturdy toasted malt backbone, delicious and vivid juicy orange, melon and pink grapefruit build in the front of the swallow before earthy, resinous hops take over. Assertive bitterness and warming alcohol are welcome foils to the big flavors, though they push this brew a step beyond the traditional American IPA guidelines. Still, this well-constructed brew gets points for its variety of distinct flavors.
