DRAFT REVIEW: DogZilla Black IPA
RATING
93

A steady off-white head sits atop this clear mahogany brew and emits a sweet, enticing aroma of orange and piney hop scents balanced by caramel. Toasty malts splash onto the tongue alongside robust grapefruit and tangerine, while traces of chocolate weave sweetness through the profile. Muscular hop bitterness rushes over the tongue, merging with a flash of roasted malts just before the swallow. Dogzilla is one of the more hop-forward black IPAs on the market, and proves a solid introduction to the style for IPA fanatics.
