DRAFT REVIEW: Amber Ale
RATING
82

Cable Car Amber shines a dark golden hue and sports an ephemeral white head. A simple aroma announces this malt-forward brew: White bread scents with a touch of caramel sweetness lift up from the head. Toffee flavors drench the tongue, accompanied by table sugar sweetness that sticks to the mouth. Luckily, spritzy carbonation arrives before the beer becomes cloying. A touch of earthy hops rise in the back with welcome bitterness, but the malt sweetness endures through the swallow. With such a hefty sugary, toffee finish, this beer could benefit from a bolder hop presence.
