DRAFT REVIEW: Plaid Bastard
RATING
85

Plaid Bastard pours a dashing, opaque brown hue, topped by a thin tan head. A wealth of smoke consumes the nose, while mouthwatering chocolate and raisin scents sweeten the aroma. This very smoky brew delivers a wave of peat with threads of sweet caramel and chocolate in the middle of the swallow. As smoke dominates the mouth, alcohol thumps the back of the throat and blends with the peat to create the impression of single malt Scotch. While all the flavors are here, Plaid Bastard could use a bit more carbonation to help wash down its bold elements.
