DRAFT REVIEW: Harpoon I.P.A.
RATING
91

Crystal-clear orange with a soft, stubborn bright-white head, this IPA blossoms with perfumy, floral hops -- think rose petals -- and a bready sweetness that adds a scrumptious depth to the bouquet. On the front of the tongue, a simple bready, nutty malt character sets the stage. As it rushes down the tongue, a swell of smooth resinous hops with citrus accents emerge. While bitterness flexes its muscle throughout the swallow and into the finish, this isn’t a palate-wrecking brew. Instead, Harpoon I.P.A. is a showcase of hop flavors, resulting in a thirst-quenching beer that’s perfect for hopheads and laymen alike.
