DRAFT REVIEW: Sixth Glass
RATING
84

Glowing deep amber with copper highlights, Sixth Glass is topped by a huge foamy, khaki-color head. The nose bursts with brown sugar and spice, while alcohol brings some sting to the bouquet. Sweet brown sugar and molasses greet the tongue, and spicy, black licorice touches ornament the swallow. Dark cherry, plums, and dates mingle before giving way to alcohol smoothness and warmth in the finish. The flavors are all a bit tangled on the tongue, but it’s still a fine American take on the style.
