RATING
88
This Belgian brew pours deep amber with suspended sediment and a big, frothy head. The aroma is candylike with big sugary smells and cherry melded with smooth (but obvious) alcohol. The flavor is brash with a wallop of alcohol biting the lips, cheeks, and throat. That said, there’s a soft side to the beer with ripe red apple and cinnamon notes complemented by floral, peppery hops. This is a big-bodied brew with loads of alcohol and effervescent carbonation, completed by a fruit and spice aftertaste.
