DRAFT REVIEW: Lucky U IPA
RATING
90

This light amber brew wears a thin, tan, creamy head that presents a hushed aroma. Gentle grapefruit scents take the lead, while a faint alcohol note appears and disappears quickly. This easy-gulping brew goes down smoothly, despite its 68 IBUs. The hop character emerges most profoundly in the flavor, coming on with bright citrus peel, some floral notes, and fringe grassiness. An underlying malt sweetness pulls through the swallow, providing balance, before it finishes clean. Overall, it’s a well-flavored IPA without the overwhelming bitterness these beers sometimes present.
