DRAFT REVIEW: Sac-Squatch
RATING
91

This is a dark brown beer with brilliant clarity and a thick, creamy head. This brew’s distinct peat-smoked malt dominates the aroma, not allowing the soft floral hops to make an impression in the nose. However, the flavor is much more balanced than the aroma; the peated malts are still evident, but they are bolstered by sweet burnt sugars and a gentle, flowery hop spice. For all the beer’s initial sweetness, it finishes very dry, with floral notes and smoky characteristics that stay well into the aftertaste.
