DRAFT REVIEW: Pale Ale
RATING
84

Boulevard’s Pale Ale pours clear, light gold with a small, creamy, cotton-white crown. This is a very malt-forward brew, with mild Cascade hops and significant alcohol striking the nose -- more than expected for the style. The flavor profile is gentle overall, but very clean. It starts with toasted white-bread sweetness, balanced by an understated grapefruit hop bittering. Boulevard finishes dry and slightly bitter. Unfortunately,
this beer doesn’t bring much to the palate, with its thin body and mild character overall.
