DRAFT REVIEW: Irish Red
RATING
83

Arkansas isn't known for its strong Irish population, so we were surprised when we heard about this Irish brew from the South. This concoction pours a burnt umber color with a light rocky head and looks fairly similar to most other Irish brews you'll find in the United States. The taste was slightly oxidized and a bit watery, but it had an even malt body and a mild yet noticeable hop essence in the nose. The body and carbonation were nearly perfect. Arkansas, in general, doesn't have a lot of breweries, so we are always glad to see production from this great state. And while this wasn't the best Irish red we've had, it is a solid beer that deserves a try when you see it on the shelves.
