DRAFT REVIEW: Gonzo Imperial Porter
RATING
90

Gonzo is a thick, jet-black brew named in Hunter S. Thompson's honor. This beer is wild, with disjointed aromas of licorice, nuts, toast, molasses and alcohol. There's no loathing the flavor either, as the first sip presents plums, burnt barley husks, coffee, vanilla and oak. The wallop of hops is unexpected after the aroma - they're extremely bitter and full of citrus and pepper flavors that last long into the aftertaste. Surprisingly light for its alcohol level, this beer is medium-bodied with a smooth texture.
