DRAFT REVIEW: Arend Tripel
RATING
81

Fruity kumquat and orange smells carry a hint of earthy white pepper to the nose. The classic tripel flavors are here, but the swallow’s a bit too cloying. Up front, freshly baked bread notes lift up hints of pear, orange and white pepper while a sugary thread stretches all the way back. Alcohol warmth builds mid-sip before clove emerges in the back. Sugary fruit lasts long after each swallow.
