A gentle woody, resinous hop aroma sneaks out of this imperial IPA’s thick, mousselike head. On the tongue, this beer’s hop presence is equally (and surprisingly) quiet: Light orange notes mark the start of the sip and mix with grainy, caramel-sweet malts before dank pine and a faint berry fruitiness emerge. A somewhat delayed bitterness swells in the back, creating an extremely clean finish that caps off this easy-drinking beer.
