DRAFT REVIEW: Descender IPA
RATING
85

This Pacific Northwest newcomer borrows from hops’ bright and dark sides. A two-note aroma’s juicy orange and dank cattiness create a powerful bouquet. On the tongue, Descender starts with big flavor potential: Soft, bready malts underscore orange and catty hops, but they’re cut short by an aggressive bitterness that scrapes over the tongue, leaving the taste buds tingling. Although the flavors deserve a better chance to sink in, this IPA certainly delivers on its large IBU count.
