Stump Jumper Gnarly Stout

RATING
86

A persistent thick, rocky tan head looms over this near-black brew and releases a rich chocolate, roasted malt and earthy hop bouquet. The liquid isn’t thick, but brash roasted malts still manage to assault the tongue in a big way. Rustic, earthy hop flavor emerges for just a moment before the malt’s bitter punch kicks its way to the end. Stump Jumper doesn’t sate the sweet tooth, but it’s an aggressive example that proves just how bitter this style can be.
