A very dark, hickory-hued pour calls forth aromas of burnt toast, baking bread, gentle plum and raisin alongside subtly smoky steak char. Additional dark fruit notes lead the way on the tongue, followed closely by apple skin and pizza dough. Toastiness falls off at the swallow, giving the beer a finish like a bite of the squishy inside of a baguette.
